Optical Touchscreens
NextWindow’s optical touch screen technology is the cost effective solution for large screens. The technology can be used with LCD and plasma displays and is suitable for 20” to 60” screens making it ideal for the digital signage and kiosk markets. This technology can even work through a shop window.
Next Window Optical touch screen technology uses scanning optical cameras to sense a 2-dimensional `field' which, when interrupted by a touch, uses sophisticated algorithms to return a point co-ordinate.
This highly accurate technology does not suffer from calibration drift and as optical imaging is used without any overlay there is no image loss.
The NextWindow touch screen system is modular so that component parts can be replaced in the event of failure or damage and, the touchscreen can be fitted retrospectively to existing screens.
